Google has utterly failed me on this one, as its first four search results have suggested totally contradictory answers. One says use a local bank. One says use a Japanese bank, and another says the airport (yeah right) is the best rate.

So whats the best way to transfer many thousands of dollars into yen?
I bank with Chase. They have a 3% international ATM withdrawal fee as of now

When you look at the chart for any currency pair you can see that it moves basicly every second and the reason for that movement is because of the supply and demand.But how does a computer based chart calculate the supply and demand for a currency at a given time?Or in on the other hand,how can i calculate the supply and demand for a currency at a given time.

Also if i buy eur and sell the dollar online am i increasing the demand for the eur or does that only happen if i do that with real money at a bank..?

Now if you did the above transaction at the peak of an up trend and EUR continued downward for a week as it weakened against the USD, and you sold your entire position, is it possible to make any profit in one direction of the same currency pair or can you only go long and profit as the trend moves upwards again?

Think about it, the euro did wonders to irelands economy, they have one of the highest standards of living in europe and the whole world.

I think if the uk adopts the euro, it will have the same effect as it did in irelands economy.

Tell gordon brown that we need the euro. It will make our economy run better. We do not need the pound anymore.

We need to raise support for the euro. I wanna see the pound go and the euro to be our currency in the next 5-7 years. Trust me, it will be beneficial to our economy

Hi,
Im just starting to learn forex trading, and I have this reference book telling me what are the factors that affect a certain currency value. For example, a higher GDP would mean a higher currency value. Now, how do I use this information? Do I have to compare the GDP of let say US and Canada? And for example, the GDP of Canada is greater than US, does that mean that the currency value of Canada is greater therefore I should be in selling position at the forex market? (USD/CAD).

Lets say the EUR/USD is at 1.40000 and i want to buy 100,000 of that currency, would i multiply 1.40000 times 100,000 to get me the price of how much i would have to pay? because if that is true i would need 0,000 to trade this currency and that is way more than what my margin is. can someone explain please.
