Several forex brokers allows a person to choose the base currency. What is the best base currency beside the U.S. $ and the EURO?
I am looking for a couple well known currencies that will very likely appreciate in value in the future (besides the U.S. and the EURO)…. Thanks in advance.

When they decimalised their currencies Australia and New Zealand changed from pounds/shillings/pence to the dollar. But when Ireland and the UK decimalised their currencies in 1971 they chose to use the pound as their base and divided this into 100 "New Pence". This caused a lot of confusion at the time.

Based on New York Time, what is the closing time for a 12h bar. My actual graphic give me a daily close at 5 pm, but my 12h bar is closing at 08pm / 08am. Shouldn’t be synchronised?

Hi, Everyone! I am a FX beginner.
I am now taking a FX online course, and learn how to trade without making too much risk (definitely day trade). Right now, I am practicing with a Demo account.
This online course is introducing us a website for our practice, which has a contract of 100,000 of the base currency . With my budget, for me to be qualify for this, i have to use a high leverage, I was hoping to use only a couple of thousand dollars to start with (like a mini account). I dont want to use a high leverage.
Do you know and recommend any reputable/reliable online websites which you have actually used, and where someone like me can start (with
smaller amount money ) ?

Oh, also.. What currency combinations do you recommend? I will be starting with USD as my base. I have practiced with my practice site, with Australian, New Zealand, Euro, & Pound.
