Thinking out loud – What do you think a national health care system is? Surely you understand that a national system of any sort is run by the Federal Government. Don’t you?
Amy, I base my beliefs on things that history has indicated work and don’t work. Socialism has flaws that prevent it from sustaining itself. The basic flaw is that it takes away human spirit and denies individuals to right to better their circumstance. Capitalism promotes just that. If you take advantage of your skills and talents, you should be allowed to prosper.
Therefore, from what I have learned over my years and what history has shown, conservative philosophy helps promote and sustained abilities for people to better their circumstance. And from a political standpoint, "conservatism works every time it is tried."
