Type into Google Search e.g. 10 dollars in pounds. This will come up with an up to date amount.

the rate should be the same wherever you go. best to get the £££ changed to $$$$$$$$ in this country before you go to USA as you will get more than if you exchanged the money over there.
when you do get it exchanged go to somewhere that does NOT charge commission. look on-line for best places.
Have a nice holiday.
might sound silly India
If you charge ,then your card co. will give you the international exchange rate on the day of your purchase . Otherwise get funds from an ATM (they are all over the world ) ,but you,ll have to pay a fee . Lastly go to a local bank in the country you’re visiting and you will get the days exchange rate for no fee . Do not however use the kiosks seen at airports etc.,or pay in US funds at the store -you will pay highly there.
Your credit card usually has the best rates & it is the easiest to use.
