Thomas Cook, or Travelex do currency exchange in London Heathrow airport US Dollars to British pounds?
Can I reserve british pounds at the london heathrow airport? we are flying in from houston on the 2nd. The websites are very confusing and by the looks of it I can only reserve US dollars, in exchange for pounds. Not Pounds in exchange for US dollars
the exchange rate is actually lower at the airport, than in houston and they are commission free

I doubt you will need to reserve UKP at Heathrow, being the UK currency, they will have plenty. Regarding who to use, it depends, when I get currency in the UK to go abroad, I use Thomas Cook, as they offer a commission-free buy-back on return, which is peace o mind if you always over estimate how much you will need.
I would also strongly advise that rather than exchanging all you dollars for cash currency,you consider getting some travellers cheques too, these are safe and easy to use, and will mean if they are lost or stolen, you can get replacements
i don’t know about reserving or anything but you can definitely exchange us dollars for pounds at heathrow.
why don’t you get them before you get to heathrow. if you can’t be aware that heathrow, being an airport, will be have high commission and they will rip you off on rates.
Just go to the ATM when you get there and avoid the hassle. Currency exchange is for TCNs
yes just use a ATM machine at the airport when you arrive

check your bank/credit card for their rates but usually atm’s have a better exchange rate and much less fees than an exchange place
