Is it partly the fault of the euro that the dollar has dropped in value?
maybe the dollar is less in demand as another extremeley legitimate currency comes on the market?
i dont know thats why im asking………

The USD is so low because interest rates and exchange rates are inversely related (when one is high, the other low). For much of the past decade, the USD enjoyed a very high exchange rate compared to other world currencies, consequently the interest rate was very low in the United States. This encouraged heavy borrowing and the rise of a large market sector of cash-advance and loan agencies. Due to the fact that most of these loans went to consumption and not investment, people were largely unable to pay off their debt which raised interest raised and sent the USD plumeting.
