In your opinion, how long till I could expect the American dollar to be double that of the British Pound?
About a year ago 10 pound would have been equal 20 US American Dollars, today, 10 pound will get you 14.66300. I’m looking to convert my American dollars into something else hoping that sometime in the future the exchange rates will double my money. Any ideas or knowledge would be very appreciative. Also, what about other currencies? Would it be best to stick to pounds, or perhaps go another direction?

You are much more likely to double your money by investing in the stock market.
I just don’t see anything about the UK economy that would substantially change its attractiveness vis a vis the U.S. economy. Both are in big trouble. But last year, in tandem with a surge in the price of oil, the Canadian Dollar soared well above parity. There are many who say that oil will surge again – in spades. So the Canuck Buck may be worth a look – especially as its banks are said to be in better shape than most others in the world.
