How Much Income is Enough to Survive?
How much income per year (in any major currency, e.g. Australian dollar, US dollar, pound, yen, etc) is enough to cover the bare essential goods that keep you alive, that is, food, water, and shelter?
My friend believes AUD 5,000 per year is enough, ,500 to pay for food (mainly fruits from a supermarket) and ,500 to pay rent for a unit in a country town.

US$20 000 is the bare minimum
Billions survive with just $365.00 USD annually.
Your friend is close to the mark! Anywhere in the world, you need money to pay rent, then money for food, and then money to pay bills (phone, petrol, electricity, cooking gas/equivalent, newspapers/magazines), money to travel around, to buy essential things like clothes and other grocery of basic need type and some money in reserve for health upkeep, and essential medicines/doctor’s bills, and then some for fun outings — all this minimum reasonable amounts! add up, and you arrive at the figure that you need!
This is a very difficult question to answer…..you do not mention your age………as you get older you realize it is not the materialistic things that are important………..you mention $2500 for rent???????????? How about something more economical?????? This is why I said this is a difficult question…………Always keep your higher power in your answer……………..then go from there…………….
