Trading Forex Archives
I have stopped trading Forex altogether because I have developed serious ethical problems as a Christian with it.
Most types of financial trading are a zero sum game, even a negative sum game. It produces NOTHING of value, no goods or services, and no wealth is created like in Stock Trading. The net change in total wealth among traders is zero at the end of the day (sometimes even less!) – the wealth is just SHIFTED from one trader to another! (Reallocation of wealth.)
It is far too close to gambling for me (some skill, a lot of chance), and you make gains ONLY at another’s expense! Jesus said that we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves. How can you do that when you profit only at somebody else’s expense? It is a violation of Jesus’ most basic commandment for humanity. And to give to worthy causes from Forex earnings may be great, but the end never justifies the means! I personally consider Forex now essentially a form of legalized stealing and robbery. The experienced Forex trader is committed to “fleecing” those who are inexperienced!
Don’t pray and ask God to help you with your financial trading – he won’t! Don’t be deceived.
An agnostic has even said: “In Forex you’re not doing any useful work, and you’re hoping to make a lot of money from it, right? Isn’t this really like stealing from the public? You’re hoping to get a lot of money from moving currencies around, and you’re not giving the world anything in return – except moving some currencies around. I think that’s just like theft.”
Think carefully about what I have said. I don’t know if anybody can convince me otherwise/refute my arguments?
When I say God won’t help you with your financial trading, I don’t mean all trading. I mean trading that tends to be morally wrong. I tried it, while praying a lot about it, and in the end still lost most of my capital. I don’t think God will get involved in practices that are very speculative and close to gambling. It is simply against His Word.

When finance geeks discuss their positions in various financial instruments, such as securities, equities, futures, forex trading etc. the terms long and short are used. "Going long", "going short" are used as well. To "short a stock" is used, but never "long a stock." I understand what both mean, but why are these words used? What is the origin? It has been reported that the tern "short" comes from being in a deficit (e.g. short of funds) but where does "long" come from? There are also the long and short positions as it pertains to the amount of time one stays invested (e.g. long-term, short-term). Also, in Forex trading, the terms are uses synonomously with "sell" and "buy" (long and short). This combined with ever confusing "put" and "call", also synonymous with "sell" and "buy" and the attached language of "shorting a stock" – but never "longing a stock". This all seems unnecessarily complicated.
@mildred f – Did you even bother to read the question? The question is about word usage, jargon, semantics – not the meaning of the words, which are well known.

Forex.com won’t let me because I’m from Canada and there were these threatening warnings about identity theft and stuff so I didn’t wanna just put I’m from the US and insert a fake identity number (whatever it’s called in the US).. Oanda.ca has terrible charts and so does investopedia.com; it’s just a line chart with no technicals whatsoever
So are there any other good websites? What’s funny is that I could set up the Forex.com app on my iPhone and it actually has better charts than any of these other websites
Thanks a lot

Now i am having a debt card, which means i can only use it to withdraw or deposit money in the ATM, but not for online trading.
I called Citi bank, the officer told me that i should use Credit card to trade online. He also said that the bank will give me a limit, around ,000, and i am not allowed to put bigger than $ 7000.
Now, lets go back to easy-forex. I am living outside UK, and i want to trade Forex. Is it possible to use my debt card? I mean is it possible to transfer money to my online brokerage account and start trading rather than using Credit card. OK, assume it is possible, how about if i want to get portion of my money to be transfered to my bank account, is this possible? and how?
In another subject, i just read in the easy-forex online website that they charge spread of 3-4 for EURO/US, what does this mean exactly?
Do you know if i have to pay additional fees, like holding my position for longer than 24 hours?
Here is the link:

Please help me, i am new to online trading

I’ve been reading comments in Youtube about Forex trading. Most of people said it is scam and not scam. I am very confused. But I’ve heard about trading like stock – something else is about to give money to company for support if company win and you will get extra money. Is Forex same as stock trading?
I am looking forward to make my wallet thicker.
Would appreciate if you could advice on the limitations of market-makers and ECN brokers
Is everyone trading forex on Oanda.com,what are your experiences regarding their working, help, withdrawal, efficiency in deal execution etc?

When you look at the chart for any currency pair you can see that it moves basicly every second and the reason for that movement is because of the supply and demand. But how does a computer based chart calculate the supply and demand for a currency at a given time?Or in on the other hand, how can i calculate the supply and demand for a currency at a given time.
Also if i buy eur and sell the dollar online am i increasing the demand for the eur or does that only happen if i do that with real money at a bank..?
