Okay so i have been looking at some ways to make money and i came across Forex trading. Well the trading actually looks legit, but i’m not so sure about this learning course at options university. Can someone tell me about their experience with this, or if you know an even better way to learn, say from a better book. Also do you have to pay for the options university training course?

what do you guys think about forex trading? Is it a real business? If yes what is a reasonable return on investment per month can someone make with proper training and if he treats it as a real FULL TIME business. Experienced people are welcome to comment but please with all honesty. And how much do you think is a reasonable capital to start with

Hi, I have 00 that I would like to invest. I have read about forex, and stock trading, but I do not know much yet, and I dont have time to be watching the market. So I was thinking about investing in mutual funds in order to start learning about investing, since I’m planning to get a degree in finance in the future. Can someone give me more info on where to start? or any other ideas? Consider that I do not live in the U.S and lot of brokerage firms ask a lot of money in order to open accounts. Thank you!

I was born in the UK and am a UK Citizen (Hold a UK passport)

When I was doing my degree (Geoscience) i also picked up forex trading where i made allot of money. Enough to apply for a EB-5 visa and give me a green card. Ive been over to the US several times and love it. From a very young age ive always been fascinated by the Air Force both the US and RAF here.

I would love to join the USAF and serve a few years. But i have a few questions:

1) I have a green card. I know i can enlist but not become an officer. If i serve a year in the USAF and get US citizenship is there a program that will move me up to become an officer? I already have a degree.

2) Am i likely to "fit in" basic training and tech school? I was mainly thinking because of my accent. Im an out going person so im not shy or anything.

3) I had high scores in high school (GCSEs and A-Levels over here) so would likely be okay with any tests they throw me to join. Is a recruiter likely to not want me to sign up? or treat me differently than any other regular enlistee?

Thanks!

The negativity is all around us and it is contagious. Do people just NEED to be negative in order to feel better about themselves?

Whenever I go to seminars there is ALWAYS somebody there who wants to then give their own little mini-seminar on the break or in the restroom telling you why the seminar presenters are all full of crap and why what they are selling just will not work.

Usually these are people who you can tell are not very successful in life. Do they perhaps need to be downers in order to feel better about their own failures in life? I really want to know what others think because I have my own views on this. I’ve attended seminars and presentations by some of the most well known and undeniably successful entrepreneurs in their industry (real estate; Forex investing; Stock Trading; eCommerce Marketing; mail-order; etc.) and these pessimists even say those things about them! I do feel so terribly sorry for the many who never learn that the way to learn how to acquire real wealth is from sitting at the feet of those who have acquired it (and not some professor who earns ,000 a year IF he’s really good.)

Have you had this experience with pessimism -versus- optimism? Are YOU one of these people? If so then please explain WHY you always see the glass as half full rather than half empty. Has this pessimism worked for you?
Excuse me. I mis-typed. I meant to say WHY do you see the glass as half empty? Or …why do you focus more on the negative rather than the positive in a thing. This is the pessimists trademark.

Hi there,

I learned most of the candle stick pattern and technical analysis only in youtube….. no where in India i can find this abundant information about the trading…. i trade in the domestic equity markets and commodity market…… the equity market has no relevant to the global market moves…. mostly the open gap up or down only is picked from the global market…….

But the commodity market like Gold, silver, copper, Nickel, Crude oil, etc…. are working exact tick by tick…. what ever be in the global market …. has the same reaction here in domestic markets too…

I am in search of some blog or a place where many people share their strategy, buy or sell about the commodity market …….. i found few about the FOREX in this http://www.freshpips.com/

It will really helpful…. to know some better place to learn about the real time buy or sell strategy.

With regards,

Gane

In 4 months I will have a degree in finance from an accredited top 50 business undergrad program. However, for the finance field, my grades are sub-par to say the least. I have a natural talent for business in a general sense and I guess because of this, I lack concern and focus in school. (stupid.. i know). I have started 2 companies. One was a learning experience, the second was successful. And as of lately, i have been actively trading the forex market. My returns for the past 2 years have been nearly entirely positive and my percentage return since i began is pretty large. I have been trading for a good ten years now and I think ive finally reached the point where I can consistently make positive trades.

My question is: What is my best plan of action as a student who will soon be graduating? I am a person who cannot sit at a desk getting paid an hourly wage to make some other person money, but I kind of feel like I would be better off gaining experience as an employee

I am an overseas student studying in a university in the UK. I’m not very familiar of what kind of working experience that you should include in your CV. I’m planning to apply for an internship in the UK next summer. I’m probably applying for a finance-related ones, such as capital markets. This summer, I worked for my parents who are doing some private forex trading activities as a personal assistant as I couldn’t really get a job out there in my country. I learnt quite a lot of stuff and I’m thinking of whether to include this as a working experience in my CV. A friend of mine said that I shouldn’t, since I wasn’t working for other parties. Do you think I should include this as I didn’t have any other working experience?
The other problem I’m worried about is since I was working privately for my parents and that’s their own trading instead of companies, I might not be able to provide a reference.
Thanks for answering…

I’m new, but the research I’ve done indicates currency trading is a viable way to make money.

For the past 13 years I’ve learned the art and depth of trading stocks and options as well as forex. Now, I’m ready to take it to the next, most obvious level; I want to trade full time at home. However, most of my profits were used in everyday living and emergencies, so i really didn’t have a chance to take advantage of compounding my earnings.
What I would like to know is how can I borrow or raise about ,000 to start trading full time? My credit was ruined by a recent divorce and child support issues, so borrowing from traditional sources is out of the question. But,I still want to know if there is anything I can do to get this going by the end of the year and take advantage of the upcoming year changes.

I’m just doing some research and I am trying out a demo for trading,

1) I see things like USD/GBP and it says buy sell, I don’t understand when to buy and when to sell. I lost 8,000 already in fake money how do I know when to sell

2) What do the numbers represent? It says USD/GBP then buy:1.53399 sell: 1.5444 I don’t understand what these numbers represent and why they keep fluctuating.

3) Whats the spread for?

4) Whats the RollS and Roll B for?

5)Whats the pip cost?

6)Whats MMR?

Anything helps guys I’m 20 years old so yes I am a dunce at this and I don’t know anything from the left side of the screen to the right, but its summer so I wanted to learn something new. I am taking macroeconomics just to see if it may help me. Do you think also think working at a bank might help?
