I have been thinking about trying my hand at trading forex. I have used demo accounts in the past and made a bit of "pretend" money, and now i fancy doing it for real.

I started an online application for a forex trading account and I see that they ask you about your income and savings, which made me wonder…

Do forex brokers allow anyone to trade (as long as your credit rating is ok) or can an application be denied if your income or savings are below a certain level?

Also, they ask if i’ve had any experience in any other trading, stocks, futures, spread betting, etc, to which the answer would be no. Does this matter?

I’m not entirely familiar with trading the forex..but I do know the regulations have changed in the U.S. especially regarding leverage. I still feel with proper money management trading the forex can be rewarding. So being that said I would like to get into the game. But since I have limited experience I would rather have my money managed by a broker. So here are my questions…I have about 100-150k to invest into the forex market..how much return..could I possibly except with aggressive trading. Where can I find the top forex brokers. Around how much are their fees typically. And lastly I’m open to other markets. Please let me know if there are other markets to invest in that will bring me even greater profits other than the forex.

Hi, I experimented with Forex (Foreign Exchange) trading last year. I started with 0.00 and at the end of the year I had .55 in my forex trading account. My .55 is still sitting with the broker (FXCM). I am wondering if I have to report this on my taxes? I know that stock brokers send you 1099 but I have not received anything from Forex Broker. Since I did not make any money, do I need to report this? Is this amount significant? Does IRS care about this kind of trading profit/losses?

I usually do my own taxes but I am thinking of going to an accountant just because of forex trading but I am afraid that I will end up paying alot of fee for tax filing when maybe I can just file the taxes myself. Please suggest!

Hello folks best regards. I´d been trying to operate in the forex market with some demo account and with real ones but with small amounts and I have been swept. so I have read some documents about the trading I know the basic stuff and I have come to conclusion that I need to elaborate a trading plan but I´m stuck in the mud in this part I mean I do have the basics like manage the psicologi, being disciplined follow the plan but how to build the plan the structure.
