I’m thinking in investing in the forex market..
I have been studying the pairs but I still don’t know what broker to chose.
PS: if you can link me to their web site I would very much appreciate it!!!
I’m looking to try the demo, not the live account yet.

Looking to start trading forex and im not sure where to begin. Does anyone know of a website where I can learn to trade forex and get on-going support???

I’m new to Forex, just started a demo account with a forex broker. I open a position by clicking the tab "open trade", but there are some more options nearby like "market order", "create order". I don’t know what the use of these market order or create or order. Someone please help me with this.

I just started trading Forex pairs and I need to be able to collect price data for the last 10 time periods (hours, days or weeks) so that I can input this information into my trading platform to give me an idea on where the price of the currency pair will move next.

Can anyone tell me how to get this info into my yahoo finance page so that it updates with the movement of the currency pairs?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Patrick

Why does society and so many parents act like the very best thing a high school student can do is go to a 4-year college and get a DEGREE …any degree …as long as it’s a "degree" and you can then call yourself a "college graduate"? The truth of the matter is that many of these college grads will NEVER produce much if anything as a ‘direct result’ of having invested 4 years of their life and a lot of other people’s money (including yours and mine usually). MANY will graduate with no real marketable skills, talents, abilities, experience or insight to enable them to do anything either for an employer or for themselves. The decent job that _some_ of them get will be in spite of and not because of their college degree.

On the other hand, those students smart enough to study a specific trade and get certified in it will have a marketable skill that will be their ticket to the good life. Their success ratio is FAR higher than the typical college grad with a generic non-specific undergrad B.S. or B.A. in something like English; history; sociology; political science; art appreciation; the humanities; etc. Today… a liberal arts education is almost worthless …UNLESS you’re using it as a ticket to a graduate program such as law school, etc.

I am only saying that education is essential to life success and there are MANY paths to getting truly educated other than the ONE path which is most touted in our society. The 4-year college/university system is the WORST choice for some …MANY of our young people and nobody wants to say it …or admit it.

By the way: Before you start making assumptions about me… I am a very successful entrepreneur, a prolifically published author; professional public speaker; producer of numerous info-products and instructional aides; forex trader; web designer; etc. …and I’ve been making money online since before MOST of you ever heard of the Internet… so don’t make the foolish assumptions others have as I continue my rants against the college myth. Yes, I am self-taught in everything I know and I am BIG on education and for me that means showing people the paths to getting truly educated rather than being just another dummy with a degree and no clue as to how to truly succeed in life.

I will fly to Tokyo. Is the exchange fee better at the airport (Narita) or at a Japanese bank? Or in the US before I leave? Thanks.

I have posted my theory on -

Does it look right to you?

besides the non-farm payroll and FOMC announcements…. which are the other events that will affect the financial markets most (in order of strength maybe)?

i’m looking at this from a forex trader’s (ie. intraday) point of view, and would like to identify events where a trader would be better off not trading. no news-trading for me, thanks :O)

If the Euro reaches 1.80-2.00 against the US Dollar what will happen to the European community using the Euro and what will happen to the US??

I know little about online trading or (investing in general), but I want to learn especially about Forex. All I know is "buy low and sell hi" concept which is self-explanatory and common sense in all trading.

However, do I HAVE to have a broker to trade online? After I learn about Forex trading, can’t I just open an account, do the practice trading for months or even a year, and do the trading myself online? Is this a common practice, or do majority of investors hire a Forex broker to do the trading for them?
